Bio: I am born and raised in Lexington, Massachusetts, settled in Framingham and currently reside in Duxbury. I have worked in public education for over 30 years with the past 20 years as an elementary school principal emphasizing the importance of connections, engagement and relationships with families and students.

I graduated from Providence College with a Business Marketing degree and went on to gain a Master’s in Education at the University of Bridgeport and a Master’s in Educational Leadership at Framingham State University.

Having two sons that are recent college graduates, I am familiar with the opportunity and challenges that can arise in the college search process. I find great joy in listening to students’ hopes and guiding them and their families through these life decisions.

Favorite thing about Lasell? I am fascinated by the intergenerational opportunities provided by the on-campus pre-schools and the alliance with the adjacent senior living community, Lasell Village

Frequently asked question? How convenient is getting into Boston from campus? Lasell is located just 8 miles west of Boston. However, it is even more accessible than the distance as local public transportation rail service (the MBTA and commuter trains) are a 10-minute walk from campus.

There is an abundance of activities afforded students given this easy access to Boston from visiting friends at other local schools, taking in sports events, museums and infinite shopping and dining choices.

What are some of your hobbies? I enjoy anything that involves the beach and ocean from kayaking and fishing to sunset strolls and shell collecting.

Why did you choose to work at Lasell? Forming supportive relationships is a critical part of my work experience. I came to Lasell because of its emphasis on personalized and connected learning. The intimacy and familiarity of the campus fosters an authentic welcoming spirit that promotes collaboration and participation
