Originally from a small town in Texas, I moved to Nashville for college and graduated with a double major in Anthropology and English from Vanderbilt University. From there, I spent two years teaching English in Japan in a small coastal town in Kochi Prefecture. I enjoyed working with students immensely, so when I got back to the States, I sought out roles in education.
As someone interested in exploring the New England area, Lasell is the perfect fit. I appreciate the opportunity to learn students’ stories and help families through the admissions process, and as a former English major, I really enjoy reading students’ essays.

Favorite thing about Lasell? I admire the camaraderie the students have with one another and their professors. From my first tour of Lasell, I was amazed at the number of people who knew my tour guide and wanted to talk with us. Everyone goes above and beyond to make students feel included.

Most asked question? A common question I receive is whether the campus feels lonely on the weekends. As someone who works Saturdays here, it does not. It’s not as busy as class days, but with 80% of our students living on-campus, there’s always something to do. Additionally, Boston is a short train ride away, so many students can explore the city on weekends.

What are some of your hobbies? I love music and I love to dance. I’m a current member of DanceWorks Boston, so if you have any questions about getting involved in the Boston dance scene, please let me know! I’m also a big reader and a puzzle fan.

Why did you choose to work at Lasell? I was so impressed by the dedication and kindness of every person I met. The faculty are committed to student success, and the students are bright, creative, and passionate. It’s a wonderful environment.
